Northwest is embarking in 2024 on a project to transform and modernize the campus’s energy infrastructure. This project will not only enhance campus operations but ensure Northwest’s ability to deliver more reliable, sustainable and cost-effective utility services to campus facilities for future generations of Bearcats.
With a projected cost of up to $105 million, it is the largest capital project in the University’s history. Northwest is partnering with multiple construction and engineering entities on upgrades throughout the campus that will enhance energy distribution; domestic water, sewer and stormwater systems; and heating, cooling and electrical systems. Northwest expects the project will take approximately two to three years to complete.
